about

All temperaments have been normalized to keep the maximum deviation from ET as small as possible (in case ET instruments were to play along) while not changing the intervals.

Although short and starting in C major, the piece modulates almost immediately to A♭, making just intonation and strong meantone temperaments sound awful (yet Pythagorean is tolerable). The milder forms of meantone (Vallotti and Young's #2, transpositions of the same "6 tempered, 6 pure" plan) are rather acceptable, but my personal pick goes to Lehman's "Bach Squiggle", Kirnberger III, and Young's #1/Van Biezen (which are extremely similar), in that order.
